I was a little shy then so when Mom, Dad, Grandma and Grandpa (we all lived in one big house back then) would ask me to sing for guests, I would go around the corner into the other room so no one could see me and then I would belt out my tunes for all to hear. I think I got hooked on applause at an early age.

Growing up, I sang in every show in grammar school, and I was in my Jr. High school's quartet as well as musical theater. High school in the late 50's early 60's brought the advent of folk music and protest songs (I wasn't a protestor, but I liked the music). I sang all the popular folk songs of the day, wrote my own and sang them as well. Me and my guitar were invited to all the parties and that was when I really became hooked on that gratifying feeling of positive crowd reaction...I'm still hooked.

In my early 20's I decided that voice was my true instrument, so I put down the guitar and concentrated on vocal studies. In fact, I have been developing my talent on and off for the last 50+ years. You see God blessed me, but you can't let him do all the work, you gotta work at it... and I still do work at it today with a fantastic vocal coach.

I like it all, I am not married to a particular musical genre, I just love the music I love; if I like it, I learn it and I sing it, that’s it. Big band, jazz, musical theater, opera, and pop too are all a part of my musical soul, oh, and a touch of country because my wife Donna loves it.

Today I perform when I am asked, mostly word of mouth, weddings services, Celebrations of life, special parties, venue bookings. I do it for the sheer joy of sharing my gift with others and of course, as said, I am hooked on that gratifying feeling you get from an audiences’ positive reaction to what I am doing...
